Press Releases

IPM turns 30!
In 1978, Bob Maxwell saw an Altos computer, and had a vision of the future. In the years that followed, he became a founder of the Property Management software industry.

Look for more articles featuring  long-time IPM users, Realty Automation's early days and our plans for the future.

First Round IPM 2008 Beta Testing
Initial testers are blown away!
Results of beta testing of the entirely new 2008 release of IPM are flooding in, and are consistently enthusiastic. "It's everything we asked for, only better!" said one tester.  When shown the new "Bank Reconciliation" screen, one bookkeeper actually "squealed with glee." How often do you hear a bookkeeper do that

Testers and IPM users have also been presenting new ideas and the type of feedback that make a good product great.  To accommodate these ideas and make sure the first release of IPM 10.0 is stable and complete, the projected release date has been pushed back to the end of August.

New additions include eliminating the Year End Close entirely, and dynamic totaling (eliminating the occasional disconnect between the GL summary and the consolidated cash).

IPM 2007.8 Released
August 28,  2007.  FullHouse Software has  released IPM 2007.8. This long-anticipated update adds a full Tracking subsystem for violations, architectural reviews and delinquencies, tenant/member "alerts", improved label handling and Eviction/Lien handling.

"This update is aimed primarily at our HOA and Condo Association managers," says Bill Bennett, company President, "But we're confident that everyone else will benefit as well. The tracking system automates one more step most manager have to take, and the alerts and legal action information are useful to all.

Support for Older Products To End December 31, 2007
April 2,  2007. FullHouse Software will "sundown" support for IPM versions 2004 and earlier effective the end of 2007.

All users of older versions are encouraged to join the maintenance plan before the end of the year, as FullHouse will no longer be able to support their products thereafter.

Note that maintenance has generally ended on all installed copies of IPM 2006 and earlier one year from the date of purchase.  FullHouse has been providing FREE support to all users since September, 2006, however, starting in 2008, FullHouse may begin charging for Technical Support incidents as noted on its website for anyone not on the maintenance plan.

Investment Property Manager 2007 Released
April 2,  2007.  FullHouse Software announces the release of Investment Property Manager 2007. FullHouse Software released the first build of IPM 2007 for Beta Testing on New Years' Day. IPM 2007 contains over 100 user-requested enhancements, and over 60 fixes. The release was delayed one week due to additional testing under Windows Vista. IPM 2007 is  compatible with Windows Vista.

IPM 2007 is available as part of the annual maintenance plan, or for new purchases.

IPM 2006 in Vista

March 22,  2007.  A problem with larger databases in IPM under Windows Vista where screens "hang" and the application becomes unresponsive has been identified and fixed. A patch for IPM 2006 is available here.  Download and install the patch to IPM on Vista machines. Note: it also allows you to hit Enter for the password, too.

March 21,  2007. FullHouse has tested IPM under Windows Vista, and experienced no problems in installation or operations: same pig, different lipstick. We recommend running the "IPM.exe" in Windows XP sp2 compatibility mode, and as an administrator. These settings are available in the "properties" page for the program from Windows explorer.

Currently, as of 3/21/2007, we are experiencing problems with one IPM user under Windows Vista Home Premium, and one under Windows Business. The main issue is that certain screens in IPM seem to "freeze" and become inactive - and impossible to close. We are working to resolve these issues and will keep the forum posted on the status.

There are also problems printing from Vista initially but that's resolved my setting the default printer in Windows before starting IPM, setting the printer in IPM and then printing.

We encourage you to explore Windows Vista, and plan your transition - next year. But if you find yourself forced to convert to Vista, IPM will be there with you.

Investment Property Manager 2007 Release Date
March 22,  2007. IPM 2007 will be generally available starting April 2, 2007. This represents an on-schedule release following more than 3 months of user testing, and a one-week delay to ensure Windows Vista compatibility.  Maintenance plan members will start to see shipments by the middle of April.

IPM 2007 contains over 100 user-requested enhancements,  over 60 bug fixes and a fresher, more consistent and inuitive interface. It marks the first major release under the FullHouse Software name, since FullHouse succeeded Realty Automation in September, 2006.  For more information about IPM 2007, visit here.

Investment Property Manager 2007 in PRERELEASE
February 26,  2007. IPM 2007 is now in Pre-Release, with a release candidate available for general public testing. FullHouse Software released the first build of IPM 2007 for Beta Testing on New Years' Day.

This release culminates a process that began in September, when Realty Automation became FullHouse Software. One of the top priorities of FullHouse Software from day one was to provide IPM's users with updates that were valuable to them. FullHouse began by querying IPM users for features they needed, changes they wanted to see, and bugs they were experiencing.

While not all requests are incorporated into IPM 2007, it is customer requests that point the direction for development. Many requests that could not be accommodated in IPM 2007 are included as specifications for the major version release planned for IPM 2008.

The key enhancements for the  IPM 2007 include:

  • email support for tenant/member, vendors and owners

  • new fields throughout- email addresses, fax numbers, cell phone numbers, extra address lines, insurance info. Too many to list!

  • new End-of-Year Wizard

  • Check printing enhancements including CPA (Canadian) date format, memo fields

  • New Move In and Move Out wizards

  • Printing to PDFs

  • Interface enhancements and general fresher "look and feel".

  • And LOTS of fixes!

If you are interested in becoming a beta tester or have an enhancement request, please email technical.support
